Whizz Kid Entertainment to produce the very best of Bestival, live and in 3D for Sky Arts
Whizz Kid Entertainment is delighted to announce that it will be working with Sky and Bestival to produce BESTIVAL in 3D.
In 2010, WKE produced Camp Bestival for Sky Arts and is excited to be building on that relationship and taking the show to a new level by shooting it in 3D.
Sky Arts and Sky 3D will broadcast exclusive coverage of the festival over the three days.
Bestival won BEST MAJOR FESTIVAL at the UK Festival Awards in 2010 and this year is staged once again on the Isle of Wight from 8th-11th September.
WKE will be producing 6 hours of live coverage over the three show days (2 hours per day) 9th, 10th & 11th, and producing a 90 minute ‘best of’ for Sky One.
The festival’s headline acts include Pendulum, The Cure, Brian Wilson, Primal Scream and Robyn. Malcolm Gerrie, Chief Executive, Whizz Kid Entertainment, says: “Bestival has re-written the rule book in staging what is probably the most unique event in the festival diary and these three glorious days of music, mischief and merriment affords a fabulous opportunity to create landmark television. Add 3D to this mix and you have the perfect end to a hot summer of festival fun on Sky Arts.”
Rob da Bank; Promoter says: ‘Its amazing to be part of the world’s first 3D TV festival extravaganza on Sky. Bestival in 3D will be a mindblowing explosion of colour and multi dimensional music and mayhem and it’s great to be working with Whizz Kid again to bring this to life. Having Camp Bestival too as part of the Sky festival season means we’ve got a great summer of programming ahead” Notes to Editors:
