Ex On The Beach indie strikes new deal for classic format



Award-winning UK independent producer Whizz Kid Entertainment has announced that it has struck a deal via its US agent partner WME to option the format rights to Pimp My Ride from the US-based originators of the format Breakfast Anytime Inc. WME brokered the deal in conjunction with Breakfast Anytime format consultant Alex Fraser.

The original series of Pimp My Ride launched in 2004 to a weekly average audience of 5 million viewers on MTV USA.  Since then it has been seen by 1.6 billion people worldwide and continues to be one of the highest rating re-run shows in MTV history. The format was sold to 171 territories around the world. In the original format, each episode saw one hopeful selected to have their car given the ultimate makeover with a star host. LA Based production company Breakfast Anytime Inc has recently brought the rights to the format back in house.
