Chief Executive

Lisa Chapman

Lisa is a founding member of the team having worked closely with CEO Malcolm Gerrie for over a decade at Endemol UK prior to Whizz Kid Entertainment. Her TV career spans over 20 years and has seen her operate as a Producer, Production Manager and Executive Producer as well as running a development and production department at Initial (part of the Endemol UK Group).

With an enviable track record in many different genres including prime time entertainment, reality, fact ent, live events, ad funding and quiz, Lisa has a reputation for creative innovation, motivating a team and delivering the highest possible production values.

Lisa has overseen the development and launch of several high-profile new formats while at Whizz Kid including prime time BBC1 series ‘Let’s Sing and Dance’, reality TV series ‘Ex On the Beach’ for MTV, the ‘BBQ Champ’ competition series for prime time ITV and new reality show ‘Prank Pad’ for ITV2.

Live, large-scale events are one of Lisa’s specialisms having launched many prime-time TV events at the company including ‘Stand Up To Cancer’ on Channel 4, ‘The British Animal Honours’ for ITV, ‘Frank Sinatra: Our Way’ for BBC1, and ‘The Titanic: A Commemoration in Music and Film’ for BBC2.

Prior to Whizz Kid Lisa co-developed and produced several new programmes such as ‘Fame Academy’ for BBC1, the ‘UK Music Hall of Fame’ for Channel 4, ‘The Ultimate Harry Potter Fan’ for ITV, ‘Fashion Rocks’ for Channel 4 and ‘The Pepsi Chart’ for Channel 5 which she went on to launch in the USA from Miami. Other credits include The MOBO Awards and long running entertainment show ‘Movies Games and Videos’ for ITV which she series produced from London and LA.

Lisa’s role straddles development, production and commercial growth at the company and she is passionate about pushing the boundaries of entertainment and new technology playing a hands-on role in the concepts for programme-apps, 3D production and interactivity. She is an active member of BAFTA and sits on the Archive and Heritage Committee and she is also a member of the RTS. In 2016 she was appointed to the main board of Whizz Kid.
