With a TV career spanning over twenty years, Debi’s extensive list of credits includes entertainment, drama, scripted comedy, documentary, factual and reality, managing production teams of all sizes and multi-million pound budgets both here in the UK and around the globe.
Graduating with degrees in French and Russian Languages, Debi briefly worked for British Forces in Germany before moving to France to join the Walt Disney Company in their Audio Visual Marketing Team based at Disneyland Paris.
Her break into main-stream television arrived thanks to Planet 24/Channel 4 and the ground-breaking daily live show ‘The Big Breakfast’ as Production Manager. She went on to manage ‘Survivor’, shot on location in Panama followed shortly after by the BAFTA TV Awards, both shows for ITV.
Prior to taking up the Head of Production role at Whizz Kid, Debi held a number of senior roles with independent TV production companies, including as Director of Production at Objective Productions. During a prolific 10 years with the company, her many credits included the BAFTA award winning Peep Show, Fresh Meat, The Cube, numerous Derren Brown series and specials together with two series of ‘Secret Princes’, shot and produced in the US for broadcaster TLC.
Her most recent roles include VP International Production EMEA for Viceland, setting up original production and business management systems for their new UK / European wide TV channel. Most recently, a brief spell as Executive in Charge at Vaudeville Productions allowed her to team up once again with Derren Brown, producing his latest special ’Derren Brown : Sacrifice’ for Netflix.
Debi is a voting member of BAFTA and a member of the PMA.
