Channel 4 commissions Christmas Special and Second Series of Being…N-Dubz from Whizz Kid Entertainment
Channel 4 has commissioned Whizz Kid Entertainment to produce both a Christmas special and a second series of ratings hit Being…N-Dubz (6×30’).
The first series gave audiences unprecedented access to the daily lives of the members of million selling, multi platinum pop act act N-Dubz. After its successful run on Channel 4, 4Music and Kiss, it regularly out performed against its slot average.
Ground breaking and cutting edge Ð this is the ultimate form of reality TV using state of the art Point of View filming. You can’t get any closer to a celebrity than actually standing in their shoes, seeing the world through their eyes. In Being…N-Dubz you become them.
Series One followed the highs and lows of the band, as they embarked on a busy summer of recording, promoting and performing. Notable highs included their headline set at the legendary Glastonbury Festival, plus their performance at the prestigious Mad Music Awards in Greece. The series also successfully captured the raw energy and close family bond the band enjoy, extending to regular rows and honest accounts of what it is to be one of the UK’s most talked about bands.
After the success of the first series, we continue on our journey with N-Dubz with a 1 hour Christmas Special. We will follow the band as they prepare for the release of their new album: ‘Love. Life. Life’ released date of November 29th. The Observer recently referred to the band as ‘Britain’s most culturally relevant group’ / ‘voice of today’s youth’.
Highlights will include the dynamic trio presenting and performing at the MOBO’s where they won Best Song for ‘Playing With Fire’, a performance at T4 Stars of 2010, as well as seeing the more intimate side of the band as they prepare for Christmas.
Series two will begin filming in early 2011.

Being…N-Dubz…at Christmas is a Whizz Kid Entertainment production for Channel 4. It will be series produced by Jaime Brannan and executive produced by Katherine Allen and Malcolm Gerrie for Whizz Kid Entertainment and Jonathan Shalit and Rich Castillo for ROAR Global. Neil McCallum and Cath Lovesey commissioned the series for Channel 4.
