FREMANTLEMEDIA AND WHIZZ KID ENTERTAINMENT SET TO CAUSE MISCHIEF WITH THE HILARIOUS PRANK PAD
Deal includes the global TV rights for both finished programme and format

RealScreen, 1 February, 2015 – FremantleMedia has struck a deal with leading UK producer Whizz Kid Entertainment (the team behind MTV’s Ex on the Beach and Channel 5’s Lip Sync Battle UK) for the global TV rights for Prank Pad, a brand new show that sees a group of ten young people – including YouTube Prank-stars – living together in one house.  Airing on ITV2 in the UK, the aim of the game is to go the distance in the house –  despite being pranked at any hour of the day – until the final show when they must go through a series of pranks in the quickest time to win the cash prize.

FremantleMedia has global format rights to the show, while its distribution arm, FremantleMedia International (FMI) will handle sales of the 8 x 60 finished programme.

Prank Pad is a devilishly funny and playfully mischievous reality format that tests wit, relationships, stamina, guts and tolerance. Contestants co-habit in a property and are paired up together each week to prank another house mate.  So much the better if they can prank and irritate their fellow house sharers so much that they pack their bags and move out before they get a chance to win the cash prize.

From cling film capers to door knob disasters, hair removal outrage to hot sauce surprises, the show is jam packed with hilarious and hideous stunts all in the name of the game. Each episode sees the pranksters get together to vote for the week’s best and worst attempt. The losing pair will have to spend the night in the Prank Room where all sorts of pranks will be sprung on them… while the winners get to stay in the Safe Room where treats await and they are guaranteed not to be pranked that night!

The series finale sees the house turn the tables on the remaining contestants as they compete against the clock in a series of prank challenges to try and win the big cash prize.
